Serve With Home Repair Ministry

Home Repair Ministry

Ongoing

Every family deserves a home that is warm, safe, and dry. We partner with Alabama Rural Ministry to serve with families in Lee and Macon counties through home repair ministry several times a year – usually on Saturdays. All skill levels are welcome to serve! We also have a team that serves regularly on one Wednesday every month. This work includes things like building wheelchair ramps, replacing damaged floors, weatherizing doors and windows, and even replacing shingle roofs. Each service day is also an opportunity to build a relationship with the family and share Christ’s love with them in a tangible, personal way. Sign up to learn more about how you can get involved with our home repair ministry.

Building wheelchair ramps, replacing damaged floors, weatherizing doors and windows – these are just a few things we can do to help keep homes warm, safe, and dry. We also build relationships with homeowners and share Christ’s love with them. No prior construction experience is required to serve!

  • Weekdays – The A-Team is led by Paul Schrantz and schedules a home repair ministry opportunity once a month on a weekday based on volunteer availability.
  • Saturdays – Teams are also organized on a few Saturdays every year, usually once in the spring and fall, for home repair ministry in partnership with Alabama Rural Ministry
