Discovery Club After-School Care
Discovery Club is an after-school care program for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
About After-School Care
Students are picked up at Auburn City Schools and transported to the church by Discovery Club buses. Parents must pick up their children from Discovery Club no later than 5:30 p.m.
Children are divided into age groups for afternoon rotations, all of which meet upstairs in the Mathison Education Building. Discovery Club provides a range of activities that include directed homework time, daily snacks, gym activities, outdoor fun, crafts, special events, and mission projects.

Fees and Tuition
Application Fee
- $25 per student, due with application (non-refundable)
Supply and Activity Fee
Due once the application is approved. This is separate from the application fee.
- $75 for one student
- $125 for two related students (siblings in the same home)
- $150 for three related students (siblings in the same home)
Tuition
Tuition includes transportation via our buses and a daily snack consisting of a fruit, a salty, and a sweet. Tuition is billed monthly, with 10-equal payments from August to May. Tuition is due within ten days of the invoice date. Invoices are sent monthly and can be paid online. Financial aid information is available upon request.
- 1 student – $240 per month
- 2nd student (siblings in the same home) – $160 per month ($400 total)
- 3rd student (siblings in the same home) – $120 per month ($520 total)

Excessive late payments (payments received beyond ten days of the invoice date) three or more times during the school year could jeopardize your child’s spot in the program.
We do not offer prorated tuition for any reason including illness, vacation, or months with extended breaks from school. Discovery Club tuition is divided into ten equal payments for the school year. The payment is the same despite the number of days students attend. As the budget is based on the number of students in the program, withdrawals require 30 days written notice and tuition must be paid for that month. In addition, anyone who withdraws during the year will lose priority registration status for the following year.
Discovery Club follows the Auburn City Schools calendar and therefore will not be in session during the following:
- September 2, 2024 | Labor Day
- October 18, 21, 2024 | October Holiday & Parent Conference Day
- November 11, 2024 | Veteran’s Day Holiday
- November 27-29, 2024 | Thanksgiving Holidays
- December 20, 2024 – January 6, 2025 | Winter Holidays
- January 20, 2025 | Martin Luther King Holiday
- March 10-14, 2025 | Spring Break
- April 18, 2025 | April Holiday (Weather Make-Up Day)
Please note: Discovery Club will not be offered on days when Auburn City Schools are closed.
