Chime Choir for 1st – 3rd graders
Children are taught in interactive ways about rhythms, listening skills and other related musical skills. Using the Handchimes, the children will provide special music for worship services throughout the year. We meet every Tuesday of the school year from 3:30 – 4:15 p.m. in Room A121 (the Bell Room).
Joyful Ringers for 4th-6th graders
This group has been in existence for over 20 years and will use the Handbells to continue to learn new techniques. The children spend fun time in rehearsals learning how to help lead the congregation worship time and preparing for the annual Bell Festival (Road Trip). We meet Sunday evenings at 6:00 – 6:45 p.m. in Room A121.
Genuine Bells for 7th-12th graders
The Genuine Bells have been one our most outstanding handbell groups over the years. They play for our worship services and many community events. We meet on Sunday afternoons 3:00 – 3:45 p.m. in Room A121.
Village Bells for College Students and Adults
This was the original AUMC Handbell Choir, formed over 25 years ago in cooperation with the Auburn Music Club made up of members of our church and members of the community. This group performs at many different venues and is ready to carry our Message of Christ to the community. We meet on Tuesdays 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon in Room A121.
Bell Ensemble for Adults (Audition only)
The Bell Ensemble started as a small group of 5 players ringing 3 octaves of handbells and became so popular the waiting list to join continues to grow. This bell group, as well as the other parts of the Bell Program allow people of all ages to use their talents in unique ways to bring joy to many people. This group meets on Monday evenings 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the Handbell Room and has grown to 5 octaves of handbells and 5 octaves of handchimes.
