Patti Hanson

Music has always been a huge part of Patti Hanson’s life. She began piano at the age of five and not surprisingly, majored in music at Auburn University with a minor in voice. Patti’s degree is in piano pedagogy/secondary music education. Over the years, Patti has participated with various civic and church groups as either accompanist, choral member or soloist which provided a wide variety of repertoire from the classics to jazz. Her favorite venue has always been working with children and youth and developing their natural love and appreciation for music. Patti is very excited about bringing Kindermusik to Auburn United Methodist Church and sharing the magic of music that lasts a lifetime.

Karen Bellah

Karen is a Florida native and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts with a minor in music from Florida Southern College. After graduation, Karen moved to NYC and from there she performed as a professional actress, singer, and dancer in Equity musical theatre for over 11 years in productions from NYC to Florida. After returning to her home state Karen and her husband Jamie had their daughter , Audrey, and she became a “stay at home mom” teaching part-time private voice lessons, piano classes and drama. She’s directed children’s choirs at churches and various schools, and has been choreographer for musical theatre productions and show choirs. Karen and her family have lived in Auburn since 2003. She is energized by her love of music and young children as she now teaches Kindermusik at AUMC.

Erika Stewart

"From childhood, my parents instilled in me a love for music and it has been a major part of my life ever since! Born and raised in Seattle, WA, I began piano studies at the age of 5 and continued for another 20 years. Those years also included opportunities to sing in a community chorale and church choir as well as provide piano accompaniment for vocalists, congregational singing and childrens music programs. My educational background is a B.S. degree in Biblical Studies through Moody Bible Institute. Since I have always had a heart for children, I have 15 years experience of working with kids in various settings and have found great joy in influencing individual lives. Now settled in Auburn with my husband, I currently teach piano alongside of Kindermusik classes.

Kindermusik is a perfect way for me to teach the fundamentals of music as well as impart a love for music to children. I look forward to fostering a passion for music in your child as a Kindermusik educator!"

Michelle Stearns

Michelle grew up in the South. Although she has lived in several different places, one thing that always remained constant was her love for music. She began singing in the church choir as a small child and joined the band when she was older where she learned to play the clarinet and percussion. The drums were her favorite instrument! She still sings in the church choir and now directs the youth choir as well.

Michelle began teaching music in the elementary school that her children attended 10 years ago. Now that her children are older, she is ready to share her passion for music with a new generation of children. As a former Kindermusik mom, she knows first-hand the value of Kindermusik to the development of a confident, happy and well-rounded child.
